Only short contextual excerpts are sent to the API of your choice, directly from your browser. Scrivaelo does not intercept or retain these exchanges.

FAQ
No. Scrivaelo does not collect or read your texts. Each project is saved independently in a folder on your machine — a folder you choose yourself. Only your email address and password (hashed) are stored on our servers to manage your account.
Never. Scrivaelo has access to none of your novel's content. It is technically impossible for us to use your prose for commercial or training purposes, since we never receive it.
Scrivaelo connects to the AI API of your choice (OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral…) using your own API keys. Exchanges go directly from your browser to the provider — Scrivaelo does not intercept or store them.
A connection is required to access the application. Some features (writing, organisation) are available in temporary offline mode. The AI assistant always requires a connection to call the API.
Completely. No credit card, no time-limited trial. In return, we simply ask for your feedback to improve the product. Pricing will be announced at stable release.
Yes. Scrivaelo accepts imports of Word (.docx), Markdown and plain text files. An import assistant helps you automatically structure your manuscript into chapters and scenes.
